Maria Evelina Rios Meyer, born in  Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais State,  accomplished her studies in FAFIJA,  of UFMG [Federal University of the State of Minas Gerais], at “Fundação Educacional Dr. Raul Baub de Jaú, SP” [Educational Foundation Dr. Raul Baub of Jau, SP] and USC ,”Universidade do Sagrado Coração” in Bauru, SP. [University of the Sacred Heart in Bauru, SP.] She was teacher and director of “Cultura Inglesa” [the Brazilian Society of English Culture] in Belo Horizonte, MG, of the Anglo Prep-Course, in São Paulo, Professor of British and American Literatures at USC, Professor of ESP [English for Specific Purposes] for masters and doctor degree students. Founder and owner of MEI-“Instituto de Idiomas”, a Language Institute in Jau, that teaches foreign languages ​​to Brazilians and Portuguese to foreigners. She rendered pedagogical orientation service in covenants with regular schools of Jau. She is the creator of the method :"Learning Needn't Be Boring" presented at numerous symposia in Brazilian universities and abroad. In 1998, she sat for the  public sworn translator contest, promoted by  JUCESP (Board of Trade of the State of São Paulo), when only 1 out of every 243 applicants was approved. She was appointed as sworn translator  by the then Governor Mario Covas at “Palácio Bandeirantes” [Bandeirantes Palace]. She moved to Belo Horizonte, joining JUCEMG (Board of Trade of the State of Minas Gerais, where she has been registered under number 451 since 28/May/2001.In Belo Horizonte, she founded the company SERVTRAD, name fantasy of [INTERTRAD- INTERPRETATION AND TRANSLATION SERVICES LTD.], which has been rendering all kinds of public official translation and interpretation services in the Portuguese and English languages, and simple translations (informal) in Spanish and German.
